With something for all levels of ability, our 10 metre high climbing wall offers a wide range of different graded climbs for everyone from 8 years old and up! There are classes for 4-18 year olds and taster sessions for everyone with professional fully qualified instructors to help you refine your technique and learn how to enjoy this thrilling sport to the fullest so that you can progress onto greater challenges.


As well as being a great way to maintain fitness, climbing provides a great group activity for everyone from youth groups to corporate events, speak to our team at the Adur Centre for more information.


Our indoor wall is a great entry level wall with approximately 40-50 routes for top roping or leading. There are a variety of straight vertical routes along with slight overhangs. Routes range from 3b to 6c.

We currently have some spaces available on our Term Time Saturday Climbing Clubs!

Our clubs start at the beginning of each School half term- if we are mid-term please call or email us to book.

If you are NEW to climbing please book the BEGINNERS INDUCTION COURSE at 16:30


Rock-Its / NICAS Wild climbers 
4-7 Year olds

Rock-its is our youngest climbing club and is open to children aged 4-7 years

Ratio: 1:6

Duration: 1 hour

Timings:  Saturday 9:30 - 10:30 hrs (term time)

Cost:  5-7 week course -  payable termly in advance  - Cost Varies with the length of Term

Start: Course start at the beginning of each school term and a new session starts after half term.

Option to add on Wild Climbers:  

What is Wild Climbers:  
A fun, game filled skill-based experience which will provide the core skills required for climbing activities. 

Participants receive a fun and interactive logbook and sticker pack: Cost: £15 

Children will earn stickers as they progress through six key skills areas.  

Upon completion of a particular skill area (3 stickers in a skill), participants will be awarded a certificate to celebrate their achievements. 

At the Adur Centre we actively encourage children to have fun whilst learning about the basics of climbing in a safe and secure environment. These sessions are for 4-7 year olds focusing around movement and fun on the wall and not so much about getting to the top, although that’s fun too! All participants will receive an attendance certificate at end of the term.

Rock Hoppers / NICAS 
7-11 Year olds

Rock Hoppers is our junior climbing club and is open to children aged 7-11 years


Ratio: 1:8

Duration: 1.5 hour

Timings: Saturdays 11:00 - 12:30 hrs and 13:30 - 15:00  (term time)

Cost: £16 per session (5-7 week course) payable termly in advance 

Start: Courses  start at the beginning of each school term and a new session starts after half term.

Rock Hoppers is our junior climbing club, where children are actively encouraged to have fun whilst learning about the fundamentals of climbing in a safe and secure environment. 

Option to add on NICAS:  

What is NICAS? 
NICAS is a nationally recognised scheme designed to promote climbing development and accredit individual achievement on artificial climbing structures, mainly indoor climbing walls. 
 
NICAS Climbing has five progressive levels of award, from complete novices to expert climbers, available from 7 years old. 

Cost: A first NICAS Climbing and NICAS Bouldering logbook, for Levels 1 to 3, costs £10

Rock Stars  is our  climbing club for young people who've gained experience on the NICAS courses and are becoming confident climbers.

Beginners Induction Course

This course is the starting point for any child new to climbing who wants to start one of our nicas clubs (Rock hoppers or rock stars)

please join this course for one half term to learn the basics and to prepare yourself to join the nicas clubs that we offer.


The instructors will then guide you to the appropriate NICAS course to join.

Family and Children Taster Session:  

The 13:45  climbing session is for children and adults with children. 
It provides an opportunity to watch your child try our climbing wall with our qualified instructor. 
You can also book to join in with your child and try guided climbing together in a family-friendly session.

After trying this taster you may find that your child would like to join one of our termly climbing clubs, or that you'd like to join our adult climbing sessions.
